Forum slowdown

Same issue here, android and chrome browser.
Cleared the entire app cache, logged back in etc and OCUK still loads to a blank page. Refresh instantly loads the page.
What's interesting, is avforum does the exact same thing.
No other sites I visit have had this issue.

I've been getting the weird behaviour on mobile for weeks now, needing to refresh the page every so often because it's randomly locked up. Thought it was just me but seems perhaps not

Using Chrome 143.0.7499.109 on Android 16. Happens on mobile data, WiFi, multiple different ISPs.

Yeah I've noticed that clearing browsing data has only helped when I load the forums from a new tab, but if I go from a tab I've been using it still has issues.

Duckduckgo browser ok on desktop and mobile phone. Android 15 for phone. With and without VPN. No issues here since the initial bot slowdown issue.

11 seconds to load a forum page ? Surely not just me as I've tested from different locations

I noticed the email links will not redirect the last few days needing me to force a refresh. Glad it's not just me!

Desktop is fine now. Using the app on my phone though is horrendous. It locks up and pages just don't open.

So, I'm now wondering if it's some weird browser/forum quirk.

I've uninstalled all chrome updates, back to whatever chrome version was in the phones last update. And the issue seems to have gone away.

Chrome caches more aggressively than other browsers, that’s what it will be, not the version

It's definitely messed up. I have to keep going back and forth to get a page to load.

But clearing the 1.5GB cache and removing all data made no difference.

Only uninstalling all updates has made a change..so far

Seems very slow on my PC for some reason despite trying different browsers and clearing cache etc.

I concur that today I had a massive slow down for a brief moment on my mobile, but then close the browser and it worked fine

Very good speed on my desktop on Edge, W11. My phone (Pixel 8 Pro) on Chrome is still very slow. If I open the app after using other apps I always have to refresh as I get a blank, black page.

Desktop seems fine. Chrome on Android is just falling apart though. To the point yesterday that tapping any forum link while I was playing music on my phone caused static noise, switching to any other webpage in another tab was fine.
