When it is deleted the post count will drop by the same amount of posts incremented in the thread.

When you delete a thread, any posts you have in the thread are deleted. Therefore, if you have 10 posts, your post count will drop by 10. Understand?

People who care more about their post count normally post dribble in order to get there.

Quality > Quantity

You lose as many as you post. So if you don't post in the TIAM thread then your PC won't be affected. The point of TIAM is not to spam it for PC++, but to enjoy a bit of banter/chat with fellow forumites. Hence why it is now a temporary monthly thread instead.
