Forza 2 Graphics

Sigh :) Forza 2's graphics are bland, I can see that from screenshots and videos. Forza 2's tracks are bland because I've 'driven' on them in other games.

They're real world locations lmao, ive driven on plenty of these tracks in other games doesnt mean they handle the same or play the same...what a narrow minded perception of this game you have...

Let me guess the tracks in GT even though in other games are somehow better simply because its GT.

Just my opinion. To me the game looks bland and to me the tracks are dull and boring.

I predict a lot of people will be bored of the game in a few weeks. Driving the same repetitive handful of tracks gets old fast.

I disagree. I think it was you that kept going on about this point too and it's nonsense.

The racers I've played on the PC offer me no end of fun and it's nothing about the number of tracks. I've got faves that I'd opt for quite often and never get bored of. Maybe that's down to the type of person but it's not a big deal to me.

In real life I would happily go round and round the same kart track (given it's a good track) and improve my times for a long time.

I have to say I was in awe in my first race in New York :o On the first straight I just sat there looking at the TV screens hanging off the buildings, then before I knew it i'd crashed into the corner. The frame rate is absolutely brilliant, absolutely no slow down at all. Graphics wise everything is absolutely spot on as far as I'm concerend, best looking racer i've played.

How can my OPINION that the Forza games are rather dull and repetitive be WRONG? :) Obviously it can't because it is a subjective, value judgement and not a black and white matter of fact.

You are making comments about a game which you have not got.
Its the driving of the cars that makes forza2 so good it just feels right.
The game is silky smooth and you get a real sensation of speed far beyond what you get with the gt series of games.
You should try the game online its amazing.
I have all the gt games and to me forza2 blows them all away.
And as for people getting bored in a few weeks loads of people still play pgr and that was a launch title.
You are pretty clever to go against all the reviews we have had for the game.

The PGR games have more replay value IMO.

Not really. Even the 'good' reviews said the graphics and/or tracks were dull and bland.

I love Pgr3 but Forza 2 is better, how do the PGR games have more replay value? Enlighten us since you seem to know so much about a game you haven't even played...

Just speaking from personal experience. I played PGR 2 to death and I still play it now and enjoy it. Forza on the other hand was always a bit of a grind and rather monotonous. And later on in the game when it gets harder and the AI becomes too aggressive and cheats, it got frustrating.

I had put Dirtydog on ignore just because of his stupid Forza comments on other threads, but people are quoting him too much! ><

But if you havent played Forza 2 i just cant see how you can presume that the same applies to Forza...they have made Forza 2 more universally accessible.

what other games have turn 10 done other than forza and forza 2 ?
Did Turn 10 do Forza 1? I think some of the individual devs might be the same but AFAIK their only full game as Turn 10 is Forza 2. Could be wrong :)

For me it doesn't have enough tracks, and the ones it has are too bland :) Nothing will change that. (Well, DLC could :p)

The only thing i dont like about the pgr games is the arcade handling of the cars.
This is where forza2 wins it feels right in every way.

I believe Microsoft Games Studio did the original and that is even more reason to suggest your view that Forza 2 is exactly like Forza 1 is unfounded.

When did I say it was "exactly like Forza 1"? Don't put words in my mouth ;) I think I have explained my opinion quite clearly in this thread and nothing more needs to be said. There is no need for you or anyone else to be defensive either - it is just my opinion.
