Forza 2 Graphics

Im not usually a racing game fan, but i gave this a try, because a number of my friends have it. Now as a bit of a noob to these kind of games, i have to say, its very accessable, and great fun,, graphics look spot on to me, and the cars on a HD tele look photo realistic, all in all a great game, thats got me well and truly hooked, and thats very rare for me:)

I liked PGR3 but not much more than that, was willing to accept it as a launch game and as there was nothing really to compare it to at the time.

Forza 2 imo suprasses it easily in charachter, playability, wanting to get further into it and possibly also replaying it in different orders (either changing your home region - ie giving you different cars initially, and with the penalties also - even if some are curious lol)

I wonder if this game has made anyone come over to my views about framerate at all ;)

IGN seem to have done, although anyone would think Forza 2 was the first 60fps game they've ever seen.

I think the frame rate is awesome and makes a big difference for this type of game, I wasnt impressed with the frame rate speed on Motorstorm after playing Forza 2, although it seems to get away with it for most people.

No doubt about it. The hardware isn't the problem on this occasion, it's lacklustre art direction from the developer.
How can there be art direction when they are mostly modelling real life tracks? The F2 tracks that are also in other games, like Suzuka or the Nordshleiffe look miles better in F2 than in the other games they were in. If you are seriously saying the Norschleiffe is a boring track they I just have to laugh at that since it's the most spectacular and challenging track ever built and it's never been presented as acurately and as detailed as in Forza 2. Suzuka is one of the best tracks around today too. All the F1 drivers say Suzuka is the next best after Spa. Laguna Seca and Road America are two of the best tracks in the US too, and Silverstone has some fantastic corners (Bridge, Becketts, Copse etc). Mugello has some great corners too with lots of elevation changes.

GT4 has more or less the same tracks as GT3 which is one of the reasons I got bored of it so quickly, and both of them share tracks from the original GT and GT2. So after 4 releases GT is using some of the same tracks, still has no damage, no online play, and IMO Forza 2 has superior physics.

How can my OPINION that the Forza games are rather dull and repetitive be WRONG?
You're entitled to have whatever opinion you like, but if you're posting so many times with decided opinions about something you haven't even seen or played then people are entitled to question the basis for your opinions. Videos/screenshots don't exactly count, the game looks miles better than the videos I saw.

A few nice shots-
