Forza 2 latest Update and Demo Discussion Thread

I've got LCE on pre-order also but I did think the extra cars were exclusive at the time and not planned to be released a few months later for free

Mr Men, yes you can cancel a pre-order but you may aswell wait for the demo, doubt the game will be a turkey.

Have there been any other dates mentioned for the demo?

They're taking the **** now :(

Sadly nothing really mentioned, i guess the next logical step is "Wait for thursday" followed by "Be dissapointed, wait for friday/monday/thursday"

Hopefully it won't come to that, but i'm really gagging to have a go now!! Not having played Forza 1 is making me even more eager, and i don't think i'll be dissapointed :D

I'm starting to have visions of yet another weekly pit pass with no demo or news of it. Although I'm clinging on to Mr Latte's update/demo combo theory, the more I think about it the more I think he could be right. :D

hehehe :D

I admire his enthusiam for this game. When I read this thread and cut through the pap i'm liking more and more of what i'm seeing/reading.

Still think it will be a tad indepth for me, hopefully I can read forums and nick settings off other people :D

As a side Hilly, noticed the new sig. I also remember your thread about ditching the ST for a girl. Seems you are pussy whipped after all ;)

No need to nick settings off people, tell the people you want and they'll do you the car & sell you it :D

Ahh factory modded Forza 2 :D hehe

Can't wait!!

and we force you to make a choice - do you want North America, Asia or Europe? So if I choose North America but I really want a Porsche 911 Turbo... Even if there was no tuning, no customisation, no upgrades, no nothing, just the car-collecting, there'd be reason to go to auction to get a 911

So if you choose Europe for example your stuck with just European cars for the whole game (ignoring the auction house side of things)?

Not sure i doubt it but what i do know is you can change location but it costs some credits there was an exact figure but have forgot.

Kinda sounds that way doesn't it. It would certainly encourage Auction House activity from the kick off I guess.

Hmm... just found this

A crucial choice is required when you first kick off career mode. Before you snag your first car, you must decide which region your racer hails from: North America, Europe or Asia. The choice of region is crucial, because it affects the prices and availability of other cars. If you want to be known as the world's greatest Volkswagen Golf driver, pick Europe as your home territory. However, if you want easy access to muscle cars, you should definitely pick North America. Your region won't keep you from experiencing the cars of another area, but early on you will certainly see far more of your region's vehicles in your garage.

Thats ok then *phew* Was kind of misleading the way it was worded.

Still going to be hard deciding between Europe and Asia for me :o

Sounds a bit crap if thats true, I am sure in FM1 your choice just affected the early part of the game.

Yeah further digging has shown that it just makes cars from your selected region cheaper / more available. Was a mis leading statement tbh.

Haha mate, you know it. Had the vRS now for over a month.

If you saw the girl, you'd understand she's totally the one for me, guitar teacher, trainee nurse and beautiful. Is there a better combination? Really is special. Loves driving games too, so it will be hard to get her off Forza, though she can't drive for ****, so for every ones cars sake, I'll ban her from Live :D

3 regions guys 300+ cars

Europe for me has the most cars id want and imo it has the majority of the most expensive cars. Ferrari, Lambo, Porsche.

Depends on what cars Fuel your passion i suppose as to what youd like to race first. Whatever region you select the prices of the cars from the other 2 regions have to be imported and will cost more, but they wil become available as the game progresses and you win cars too.

I particulary like the paint idea, do a design sell it, apply it again and make a nice little earner everytime. Offers choice and i think for some beats doing a short 3 course race on some track 50 times just to build up case for upgrades or new cars.

Setups i think are purcased seperatly, not sure on this at all and when online you can now hide your setup so it cant be read or copied. Thats good as i intend to quickly find a fovourite car in each class and then tune the hell out of it seperatly for each track...

Oh yeah the games got lonetivity for sure.
