FORZA 3

There are some perfectly excusable reasons why the Forza series and even Sony's Gran Turismo will never come to the PC if you think about it. Big hint, look at who own's these properties and their development house!

look who publishes forza and i imagine pays them to do it on there console, now look who said they were going to give pc gaming some attention.

ahh well we got games for windows that no one likes or uses

i like it. its obviously got nothing on Steam, but i like it as i can be in a party with my freinds who are all playing their 360s and my achievements are linked.

i know its a terrible interface etc.. but for the above reasons i don't mind it.

But back on topic - Im suprised no developer has just copied Gran Turismo and made an even bigger and better PC version, all the racing games coming out on PC lately are all too arcade like for me.

Is it possible to emulate games like Gran Turismo or Forza onto PC at all?

You mean like Mass Effect and Halo etc?

Obviously GT would never appear on the PC, but i'd love it if forza did :(.

The difference with BioWare and Bungie Studios (In the past and currently now) is that these two are independent development studios started by themselves.

Turn 10 and Polyphony Digital were created by Microsoft and Sony respectively to develop games specifically for their own console systems.

I think it's DLC . It's a big part of profit they make on Forza. They know if it's brought out on pc , people will just make their own cars/track's and so people won't buy the dlc.

I can remember reading an article that said Polyphony Digital were thinking about releasing it on other platforms, which wouldn't be 360 or Wii..... So that would be PC.

Can't see it happening despite that though!

Yes GT4 has been made to run fully in an emulator although you need a fast CPU. I don't think it is allowed to discuss full details of it here, but google will tell you.

The reason why you don't see many people just copying Gran turismo is because it is a high budget title. GT5 is apparently $60m in according to kazunori (the producer).

As for emulating Gran turismo, get a PS2 emulator and i'm pretty sure you could run GT3 or GT4.

I think Microsoft will always want to keep some exclusives on their console, as it gives people who are 50/50 on getting one, a reason to get one. Although the price they are at now, you might aswell just get one...

Last I checked GT3 doesn't work properly but GT4 does.

That's true. I have the PS3 and there are plenty of PS3 only games for it. So I get to play all of the console only games like rockband, tekken etc, all of the PS3 games and then I have the PC that I can play PC games on and almost all of the 360 games. Not bad really. The reason I've never got round to getting an Xbox 360 is that almost all of the games end up on the PC. The only game I would really like to play now is GTA4: episodes. I've casually played GTA4 for so long now and have only recently finished it that I would get straight into it but I'm pretty sure it will be on PC in a few months.
