PC racing games are usually not as good looking as your Forza's or your Gran Turismo console games but they have something far superior, and that is the MODDING community. This makes the PC racers like rFactor, LFS or Grand Prix series far more appealling to those who want a challange as there are tons of leagues and competitions to enter. Now dont get me wrong, the Forza series is great fun and at least tries to bridge the gap between Arcade and add a sort of SIM feel, I personally prefer GT5 which is in a class of its own, but overall if you want that type of game you have to buy a console.
