Forza 4

Talk to me about Drifting people:)

I have been doing the Rivals Drift challenges with some successful scores and some not so.:(

I think I am getting used to starting the drift and using the throttle a lot better now but once I start getting 3000+ point drifts I go all sweaty and panic and try to stop the car facing forward so I can collect the score before I face the wall or spin out. My mind goes blank at this point and I forget whether or not to floor it or ease off the gas to correct my drift. Its doing my nut in. Anyway, practice, practice, practice:p

What sort of settings should I adjust to get the most out of the tune? I have all upgraded suspension, brakes transmission etc plus extra Power too.

I have got myself a gold Mazda RX-7 with some branded body kit gubbins on and its looks Saaahweeeeet. :D Just doing some WIP vinyl's for it at this time.

So Forza Forumites, how do you Drift yours?

Edit: First thing I did was put positive Camber on rear wheels. This, to me helps loads as the back end does not want to go straight.

I know _how_ to drift but i cannot for the life of me tune a car to be stable in a sustained low speed drift which is the key to really milking all the points you can.

:( apparently between tuning a car and firing up the game about 2 hours later my gamesave was "tampered" with and i had to delete it and start again... About 2 million from rivals mode down the drain :( At least i had the other profile to gift some cheaply built cars over from again.

Sorry if people are getting spam from rivals mode.

Took it upon myself to design an OcUK drift livery. Still WIP but coming along nicely.

Cheers. I think so.:) Still a bit of work to do on it yet. I am making the vinyls in such a way that they can be used on most cars the size of the RX7 so people can use them on their own drift cars. I am going to do a Race version too. The number '75' is mine but I will make a proper plate for what ever number people want to use plus I will make 'Race' and 'drift' logos so they can be put on cars too. I will upload to my store front once I have completed them.

Been trying do some of the rivals tonight god I need to practice lol...

I know the feeling - seem to be middle of the pack in terms of ocuk rivals times now so getting better but god I cannot drift for the life of me! Haven't even raced online yet as I haven't really built up enough of a collection of cars to be remotely competitive. Probably a good thing as I used to waste hours of my life on forza 2 /3 trying to beat people in gen 7 celicas

Ive got the MS wheel and I cant use it to drift at all lol..

I'm getting better at this drifting lark, just need to sort out the handling aspect of things. I'm sure I have the right gear ratios set, well the final gear is set to speed so it holds steady power as I'm drifting. Anyone up for some online racing, drifting?

All i really do is race in the B class hoppers (or in private lobbies with friends). On my profile that is in the club i have pretty much nothing to race outside of my own B class tunes. Saying that i could probably have the odd flutter into a drift session to see how badly i fare.

Just got a new replacement 360 and picked up Froza 4 at the same.

Always up for some rival challenges etc, id = DaRyL77

I have tried for the last few days to race online and nothing comes up it just searches for ages. The only game I got was some random race where everyone was in R1 X and that's not fun at all. Bumper cars.

All I want is to race with decent folk who like running cars in stock form or tuned A, B, or C class.

I propose we get together and have a proper race. Full damage (stops anyone from playing dodgems, in theory). Possibly a Nascar event of some sort. Even cars around the Indy 500 oval. Bring your own tune as long as it from stock. Wadaya say? :-)

Very, very pleased with myself right now. I have just landed a place on the world leader boards a smidge over 2000t place with my Honda Integra Type R B500 tune on the short Tskuba track. I even beat dreeder(sp).

I decided to give the high powered cars a rest and concentrate on B Spec stuff now. If anyone wants the tune I will happily hand it over. It might need a little tweak here and there regarding the gears, handling wise its pretty much spot on.
