Forza 4

I can't believe this and Batman are coming out the same month. My two most wanted games of the year and they come out weeks apart.

Official info on wheels has just been released..

$230 for the Madcat wheel, that's a £100-£120 wheel at best (e.g. DFGT level).. :(

But oddly, the weird gyroscopic U shaped MS Wheel thing actually got favourable results when someone tried it..
It's very responsive and accurate, and wasn't too bad to hold apparantly..

I gave a snigger when I first saw it, but that could be a nice alternative for people who can't use a wheel setup, but would like the accuracy a wheel gives. Much more accurate than a pad anyway.

does that MS wheel thing have triggers on the back? actually looks like it works

Yep, two triggers on the back (No shoulder buttons), I also can't believe it actually might actually work.. If it's £40 or less, I might get one for when I play in the front room, somewhere I use a pad presently..

Microsoft doing a six axis type thing then.

Like you guys say it could be an alternative over a pad and a nice one too but really I find it hard to believe most couldn't accomodate a wheel and wheel stand.

I tend to differ very much from others here as I feel even though I don't need or cant really afford yet another wheel its like I just have to have it to again experience the game to it's max.

Such is my compulsion for tech toys and racing games.

why can't MS make a normal reasonable quality normal wheel? it looks rubbish it'll hurt on long races and it's not a wheel. it's just stupid and the idiot that gave the design the ok needs firing right now. also the design team that came up with that needs firing too! grrr!

hopefully the fanetic non cabon fiber wheel won't be over £200, £100-£150 would be good.

I might pick the "wheel" up, I used to have the official one when Forza 3 came out but I just don't have the room to store it nor inclination to set it up everytime I want to play one game.

It looks like a good compromise for the semi-serious gamer like me, I think some people who are bashing it are just (understandably) frustrated that MS discontinued the proper wheel, or didn't release an improved version.

I'm already planning a CSR Elite, hope it fits on the WSP and works with the Club sport pedals!

Shame no CS Shifter was shown and i cant find any info on the CS Handbrake even tho there have been many shots of it at the event - seems odd but maybe Thomas will fill us in soon!

/\ This.

I have the MS wheel, even though it is quite good it is ugly, cumbersome and takes a huge amount of desktop space, I don't have the time or inclination to set it up everytime I fancy a hot lap of the nurburgring, plus the actual value it adds to the driving experience in FM3 is minimal simply because FM3 is so easy to drive (IMHO) with the pad.

That wireless controller looks like a good compromise, I'll wait for the reviews first though...

Most of the vids are of crap players using all the driving aids, but this guy looks like he has at least played the other Forza games. He has it on full sim and imo, it looks to have better tyre physics than FM3.

By a second hand wheel and buy the bearing mod off ebay. Totally transforms the wheel. I bought mine brand new during forza 2 and it became quite sloppy. Fitted a bearing for the main shaft and it's fantastic now. Im sure if you got some nice machinist to make some metal gears it would make it even better!

yep tgtt looks a bit better than gt5 version, wonder if fm4 will have an improved nordschleife upto or beyond the awesome gt5 version?

oh i have a still very solid MS wheel which is alright, but not upto my logi g25's standard. was just hoping for more than a frisbee from MS was all.

Think i'm going to have to sell my G25 and get a Fanatec for this game.

They seem pretty rare though unless you're buying new from the Fanatec site?

The last stock of the Porsche 911 Turbo S was sold to Playseats, http://playseat.com/shop/steering-w...11-turbo-s-pure-edition-clubsport-pedals.html £369 is a good price for a Turbo S and Clubsport pedals..

Other then that, you can only get direct from Fanatec (Where I got mine).

I love my Turbo S, I prefer it over the GT2 (Which my brother now has), but only because it's leather instead of alcantara, and I like the silver/black contrast.., But I always think perhaps the GT2 has a few 'tweaks' under the skin..

I'd love the new CSR Wheel, I may upgrade mine, I don't think you'd lose too much money on Fanatec wheels, they seem to go for good prices on eBay.
