Indeed, it's not a bad thing from where i'm sitting as it's my favourite area.

What's with the 'speed' ratings of cars? I have one which is 9.4, and another at 8.7, yet the 8.7 has a higher top speed? :confused:

I found this one really tricky too. Must've had 5 or 6 goes at it before I completed it. The reason I was finding it so difficult was I was sticking to the little car park area where you start. Every turn was counting as one drift but I could only get to 23-24 max. First time I took it out on to the streets, I was getting 2 drifts per turn and completed it with about 40 seconds remaining.

I made the same mistake, soon as I left the car park it was simple.
 
Me too. Didnt realise you could leave the car park. Nailed it first time i exited it.

I am struggling though on the number 14 bucketlist, another drifting challenge. I'm terrible at drifting, which doesn't help.

Got this last Thursday. Loving it and got my first Horizon Edition car yesterday on a wheelspin:

I don't have Live gold membership and was happy to find out you don't need it to buy and sell in the action house (sure you couldn't do that without gold in previous Forza Motorsport games?) so bought myself the HE Ford GT for a million :)

Its impossible to know this without being told by other users - which is really frustrating me as its similar to other things

for instance the races, some corners you get the coloured arrows and the audio, other times on similar coners you get absolutely nothing but by the time Ive realised Ive gone wrong Ive lost the head-to -head or way behind where I was. If it was consistant in just asking you to follow the map or consistant with the arrows I wouldnt mind but its 1/2 and 1/2 which is infuriating I feel.

( I managed to do the car park bucket list inside the car park but only after about 30 attempts, it was driving me bonkers.)

Other "long distance" races it appears as though a lot of the other cars completely ignore the track you are guided on and just get to the end via any points at all and its a general free for all.
 
Another set of Forzathon Challenges started today, 4 days left for these.

1) 50 near misses in an Extreme Trackday Toy = 15k XP
2) 3 stars in 3 speed zones in an Extreme Trackday Toy = 100k CR
3) Win a showdown drag race in an Extreme Trackday Toy = #17 Falcon FG v8 Supercar

To get the drag achievement you need to join a showdown from the online car meet at the airport.

I've shared a tune for the drag race, Caterham R500 AWD S1 tune name: MASH Forzathon

My best so far is a 21.9, mostly low 22's, which is quick enough to beat other X, S2 and S1 cars. Other good drivers in R500's are around the same times, so it's then down to who gets the best launch.

I play with no assists, manual with clutch. I'm not sure if its any quicker with any assists on.

Anyone else having problems trying to join the online freedom, keep getting a message saying 'unable to join session'. :confused:
 
15 wheel spins last night and not a single HE edition car...

Did manage to pick 4 up in auction house for under 2.5 million credits though which isn't too bad as I suppose!
