It's all to do with the PI rating of your car..
If you put AI on hardest, and have a car with the same PI, i've found them to be very good!!!
But you can just mod your car, or choose one with a much higher PI and wipe the floor with them..
It's not speed or acceleration that I'm beating them on, it's just that they break early and way too much for every corner, and they're also slow putting their foot down out of the corners.
I thought that your car moved up levels when you upgrade parts; my Saab is a group C car i think, so surely I'm racing against other group C cars?

If you only set it to professional then the AI will still be on medium i believe. Go to set difficulty and you can change specific options.. im racing professional, but i have edited the AI to Hard and they are much better racers.

You can check what opponent classes your racing against before entering an event by pressing X when selecting an event/track, either one i cant remember.. or simply when the track has loaded on the pitboard thing.

Good point, I agree, he probably is on Medium, which behaves exactly as he describes.

Do as gord says, set the AI to Hard, a real challenge at times..

Brilliant game imho, had a play with it last night and i found it quite fun. Had a few exhibition races with my bro over Xbox Live so that was quite fun. Havent started my career mode yet as i was just getting a feel for the game but the amount of stuff you can adjust on the car etc is amazing. Havent really noticed any jaggies or gfx glitches...mine seems to be running very smooth with no slowdowns.

Now all i need to do is to justify the cost of the wireless wheel:p.

Before i hopefully pick up this game today i need some beginner tips, does it still give you the region to choose like forza 1 - so japan, american europe which one do i choose.

What are the best cars to start with and general observations when your a rookie building up your rank.

Thanks

IT really is a great offer gamestation/blockbuster are doing. Traded in crackdown for the ltd edition forza 2 and cost me a grand total of £6!! :D .

Yes

I went for Europe as I preferred the choice of cars. Doesn't make too much difference though whichever you for, there aren't many cars that need to be unlocked by being in a certain region.

I started with the Golf. Best way to rank up is set the difficulty as high as possible, have as fewer assists as possible, and try not to damage your car.

Obviosuly winning races helps as well :p
