LCE owners have VIP status and from time to time they will get cars. Several cars given out this week where for VIP's, some for preorders and the others for their blog replys.

It's worth keeping an eye on the blogs..
 
I'm new to FM3 & want to know how easy it is to create a drawing / skin for the cars.

I'm no good at drawing but want to create something special which other FM3 owners will say "wow" thats amazing. Any advice would be greatful.

Its very easy if you've got a good eye. I'm no good at drawing or visualising what I want to do but I love being creative with decals and basic shapes and you can create some incredible stuff like that if you put the time in.

Something about that car I love.

Seen one on the Storefront that isnt that bad, bought it but its not accurate enough.
Will throw up a few pics when its done.

Its not hard as such, but its painful most of the time, its tedious for a start taking a long time to create things with the basic tools, then a lot of things you want to do, you find are limited by the tools at hand, making relatively simple task take hours.
You get used to it and become faster etc, and if you care enough you can make some amazing things like the half life car someone has posted here. Personally i don't know how you lot of the patience to create something out of hundreds of tiny layers.

I'd still kill for some kind of pathfinder like that of illustrator, it would open up many more possibilities, cut down on time and actually make me want to paint.

Practise Designing layers in the Create Layer section & then you can Periodically save the Layer/Layers & use them again cutting down on time Wasted.
Start with a drawing of your fave cartoon characters as they are made up of just a few well placed lines & then go from there.
Smileys & Homers head are a good thing to start with & just improve them as you get better.
For car liverys work from a Pictuire for accuracy.
 
I can't help doing these kind of liveries. I know they are not the fastest cars in the world but i really liked the look of this car, so i decided to have a go.

Its a Volvo C30 from the STCC.

Its on my storefront with many of my others if you are interested.
