Yeah that's what I do, sadly there doesn't seem to be a permanent fix. :(

Have you tried this, it worked for me
"Just in case anyone is having issues with this on the PC just showing the splash screen at the start and then closing, just go to services and make sure Windows Push To Install has started, it's not always starting properly and this has fixed it for me"

Guess I turn aa down to 4x :/
would have thought 980ti had enough memory for maxed out everything since it runs so great

Poor AI in modern driving games shouldn't exist. How on earth can they be thinking of letting driverless cars on the roads when they can't even get AI on a game, which is a lot more predictable than real life, to behave properly.
 
Just bought this for £20 on the windows store. I've never bought a forza game before as I've never been on xbox but played the original a long time ago and enjoyed that. I liked putting new engines in the cars etc. Hoping the new game still has stuff like that. I played the free apex 6 game but that didn't seem to have stuff like that. I've played all gran turismo upto ps4 where they still don't have a full version I think. Plus I gave up on racing games on that as my steering wheel is no longer supported.
 
7 will give you all the customisation you are after and it's a really well rounded arcade/sim handling experience imho

I go between that and horizon 4 dependant on what sort of racing I fancy as a quick pick up and play using a pad. It's a great game that has the usual polished presentation from turn 10 and looks gorgeous too :)
 
Hi anyone else with a rtx card having low fps issues?
I can do a few laps about 100+ fps then my 2070 super drops to 50fps and lowers clocks and usage.
3600x 16gb, palit 2070 super jetstream

I've had this game quite a long time now but barely played it. I found trying to play it with a game pad near impossible and have not found it particularly enjoyable with my wheel either. I find every car I drive seems to get a ton of torque steer or oversteer. Not sure if it's the settings I'm using or maybe it's me. I have never found this in other games. You shouldn't really have these issues driving a civic type R with no mods for example. Anyone got any ideas what I can do to change this?
 
Sorry to bring this thread back from the dead, but didn't want to create a new thread.

Anyway this game is no longer on game pass due to licencing issues, and you can no longer buy it through the traditional store fronts.

However I noticed key sites still sell them. Does anyone know definitively whether a key I buy is still redeemable? I don't want to buy it and then get an error with some sort of loophole thing where as it's been taken off of sale I can't redeem the key either.

I'm hoping someone has maybe bought this recently in the same way?

I fancy a good racer and Forza 7 is the candidate for me....

It's so annoying that it was removed. I think it's a better racing game than Forza Horizon 5.

Damn licencing issues....

I'm still tempted to try my luck with a key but I really don't want to have to then mess about contacting a re-seller to get my money back.
 
I'm really liking the game.. Done a lot of the accolades now so I got suckered into pre ordering the expansions... Hope they have a decent amount of content... Anyone know the release date? Seems a long time coming.
 
After GT7 launch, I figured it'll be some time before that game is in a state where I'll buy. Looked for Forza 7 and saw that it was no longer available.
I just pirated it when I found out MS chose to stop selling it. Disappointing given the next one doesn't appear to be anywhere close to launch.
 
I didn't link or show anything about my copy. It's a game you can't buy at all now, I don't think there should be a problem.

Aside from the menus being just annoying/confusing, and it being yet another game that just can't let you get on with stuff at the starr, it seems like a solid racing game.
I know at launch it had it's share of issues, but seems OK in it's final form.
Depressing that so many games need to launch with some sort of middle finger to the audience, and even more baffling that MS didn't do whatever was needed to keep Forza 7 for sale.

The graphics still stand-up despite the age, and it would have surely seen some sales surge riding GT7's popularity wave.
 
Spending the money on licensing probably wouldn’t have seen a worthwhile return in investment.

The mainstream have moved on to Horizon 5 even though it provides a drastically different performance.

I also wonder whether the majority who would have still played it would have been using gamepass as opposed to buying on steam
