I'd hand it in to the police, myself. Wouldn't ever feel right keeping someone else's property, and I don't think I'd want to anyway.

You could consider selling it into CeX, they'd give you good money. Worry about it getting barred in the future though, but it may well be a non-issue if it seems like they've forgotten about it... :/

I'd say keep it for a while longer though just to make sure they don't get back in touch with you!

It doesnt matter if he has frauduently claimed for a new iFail in this time or not as the police will just hand him the phone back.
