I was about to post in my thread I started before but I think it's been removed ?

And I would like to say thanks for all the nice comments in that thread and now the update :(

I started calling vets in my area first thing this morning and the first one I called said they had my cat and that he died last night instantly by the car :(

Some one had hit him first then 2 vets in a car behind took him to try and save him but there wasn't much they could do.

I went to the vets to Identified him and it was not nice as he has been frozen in cold storage but I needed to know for sure if it was him.

Again thank you all for the nice comments I am getting my other 3 cats chipped and have them wearing collars all the time now.

Oh man, that is horrible news. Sorry for your loss. 100% worth getting your animals chipped as someone might have contacted you sooner and saved the wait.

Almost the same thing happened to me a couple of years ago. We were following a car that hit a cat, the car sped off but we stopped to help. The cat was alive but couldn't move, was one of the most distressing things I've seen tbh. Miracolously the car following me was an off duty vet nurse and she took the cat immediately to the nearest vet. I knocked on a few doors nearby but no sign of the owner, so I wrote a letter and posted it through the nearest door telling them what happened and where the cat went, just in case the owner came round they could tell them. Never heard anything after that, but I have to say after seeing that cat it was unlikelythey could have done anything for it. :(

At least you have been able to get closure.
 
That sucks bro, I'm not a cat person but that is really sad, and all the stupid posts in the last topic were annoying and probably the reason it got taken down, strange though as it was a legitimate topic, mods shouldn't be lazy and should just be rid of the bad posts.

So sorry for your loss. I am welling up just thinking about it.
Nice that it turns out the two people who stopped and took him away were Vets, who tried their best to save him.

Always a nightmare for a pet owner that this sort of thing can happen. Try and remember all the good times you had with him, and the good life you gave him, and just imagine him chasing around mice in some kind of cat heaven.
