Fox Repeller

Argh this argument/discussion has been on here before.
The morality patrol will tell you to use some sort of humane method like a automated water pistol. Useless junk deterrent for any hungry fox.

The best thing to do would just to get a friend (or yourself) with a rifle and shoot it.
.222 or larger rifle is the best minimum caliber to shoot it with. That is the legal requirement in most country, but it differs between police forces sometimes.

No two ways around it. If they're hungry, they'll get in, automated water pistol or not.

Make sure you shut them in at night! If you don't, you may as well not bother with a run at all.

I agree, .223 would be better, but 222 is usually the minimum in most places to legally shoot a fox with.

But anything more would kill it more effectively.

Assuming he's under 40 Yds I've been told that size 3 shot is very effective for foxes.

I find these work too :D

They'll be fine. As long as they're closed in at night and you have a high fence, there's no way the fox will be able to get to them.
