surely though, as that panel seems to be raised so much further out than the rear light clusters it must be a camoflage panel just to prevent the spies from snapping it?Scuzi said:

i think cars really need to be seen in the "flesh" before an accurate opinion can be made. Videos can be deceiving but 2d pictures are even more so.Burned_Alive said:

Why not just get a 3 series?
Looks wise all I'm picturing is an M sport version with big wheels, beefier bumpers and a huge engine, and that picture actualyl looks very good 
However will the price gap between this and a decent 3 series make it a good buy?
A current 3 door 1 series 130 is £26,385 on BMWs website. The 3 series M sport 330 coupe is £34,230. So that's an 8k difference, I'd say that's a significant jump in price to counter the "why not buy a 3 series" argument, going on price alone. The 330 saloon M sport is £32,340 if you think that's a fairer comparison, so still a £6k jump.

It won't look like that when it's finally released - those are just a bunch of spy shots.
Look at the spy shots of the new 3er coupe - it looked gash with awkward angles and a similar unfinished look about it. Production model on the other hand looks fantastic.
I imagine this will pretty damn good by the time it hits the forecourts.
