FPS Drop From 60 to 5-10

Ok, try disabling it then. I've not used a AMD motherboard in a while but it should be called something like Cool 'n Quiet in the BIOS.

Edit: Yes. Within BIOS go to the Advanced Tab and then CPU Configuration and then disable "Cool 'n' Quiet". See if that sorts it.

You could go into windows power management and change "min processor %" or something like that to 100% :)

Cool 'n' Quiet was disabled.

Here is what the cpu clock and voltage stuff looks like...

That is true yes, I've always turned things like this off at the source to be certain etc.

Cool 'n' Quiet was disabled.

You mean it was already disabled? Try the Power Management method then, set it to 100% or select the High Performance plan which should have it set to 100% as default.

No problem.
@Speed, Better to turn it off at the source, but easier to turn it off and on in windows. Especially if your PC runs hot and don't want it running at max frequency all the time. Save the environment or your energy bills :)

Right I think I may have solved it...

I've turned on CPU Load-line calibration and it hasn't fluctuated yet so no lag.

Spoke too soon :'(

True, but obviously he is trying to track down the source of his problems. If that is the automatic throttling, then turning it off at the source is the best way to fully rule it out. I'm not suggesting to anyone that it isn't a good thing to keep it on, it reduces power consumption, which is good for the environment and your wallet. I'm just suggesting possible solutions to his particular issue.

Remove the overclock completely, put it back to defaults etc.

I know i had this problem on my i7, i had to turn off EIST, which stopped the throttle.

I had a look through your manual but couldn't find any similar option. Try turning off Ai Tweaker / CPU Level Up

Bios update did the trick. It was actually really obvious when I looked at the updates on ASUS which say it solves this specific problem.

Many Thanks :)
