I'm not sure this is in the right forum.. but..

I'm after a new mouse.

As far as I can see its between -

The G5
The G7
The MX518
Copperhead
DeathAdder

Which one would you guys recommend?

I know there have been a few threads.. and yes I have searched but the findings are inconclusive, even the link to the reviews didn't help much.

If you had to choose which would it be, I'm looking for a personal opinion of a user of any of these mice.

I'm leaning towards the Deathadder.. and then the copperhead.
I just need that final push!

Thoughts??

They will always be inconclusive as it's purely down to personal preference.
All you can do is go to a shop that has them laid out and give them a good test drive.
Some like big some like small some like chorded some like chordless etc etc etc etc etc etc recurring a zillion times.

with the amount of threads we have on gaming mice, someone should make a sticky.

before someone says that it should be me, im busy :p

G7

I have one, its a great mouse, the best I have ever had, its works effortless, the DPi changes are great you have upto 5 different levels. The battery lasts about 10 hours and takes a few seconds to change for continuous gaming.

Mx 518 for me. I would buy a g5 but it doesn't have enough buttons on it for how I play games :(

They are both pretty much exactly the same in terms of FPS hit scan control though, you'd been hard pressed to tell the difference between 1600dpi and 2000dpi imo. I do however prefer the feet on the G5, seems to glide over my steel pad better.

theres a lot of cracking mice out there, my pref is the razor copperhead has great software very comfortable and sexy as fek :p
gaming mice are defo a bonus for fps, they give you far better control than your avg ones
i had a microsoft intellimouse which i thought was great until i bought the above, amazing diff

I would go for one of these http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=KB-060-MS Microsoft Intellimouse Explorer 3.0 to me I had two of the older models which lasted me 6 years and are excellent for gaming, although corded which I dont find a prob. I have sim modem but 6000dpi wireless and tbh I prefered the old Intelli 3. Again as pointed out, its purely down to pref and. to me, as many buttons on the mouse is pref for gaming for shortcuts to reloading, jumping etc... so thats a factor also.

Vicar, i had one of those , its a good mouse, but not for the serious gamer , its well worth spending double that if your into fps proper
the diff between that and my razor copper is so substantial you really have to try them side by side to see the gulf in control and comfort
