FPS Mice..

I currently use a mx510 and with my deathadder coming tuesday i was just wondering whats it like to hold onto cause with the mx510 when i first used it it felt quite weighty and big and i really loved it. Will the deathadder from my guessing is it quite small and light, making me have a quicker smoother movement.

i dont know if its going to be any different from the rest of there range, but yea, they are small, if you got big hands like me, then it will swamp it. they are light as well, very light.

I used to be a serious FPS player (still love them but less time). I've owned the original MS IE 3, MX518, Copperhead and the new MS IE 3. Out of all thise my favourite is the new MS IE 3 by a long margin. The MX518 has the best build quality and the Copperhead has the best sensitivity but the IE 3 just feels "right" and I'm more accurate with it.

I've just ordered the same..
I was very tempted to get an IceMat Black from a competitor but I opted for the ExactMat due to Razer developing both the mouseI'm gettin and the mat.

Hopefully they'll work well together..
As I said though.. pics and opinions when I get the order on Tuesday :)

I am guessing us old time gamers loved the IE 3, that was a "MOUSE" ps.... it cost £50 or more for it, but a dam fine investment :D

Yep, i'm sure it's just because I'm used to the shape and movement. But it shows that while mice can improve, beyond a certain point it's more to do with familiarity and personal preference :)

2 factors here..

who makes the best mice? easy - logitech, by a distance

what is their best vintage? easier - the mx518 or G3 as its called now.

i've upgraded from it twice now, and learnt the hard and expensive way that there quite simply is no upgrade from it. The only way to do that is to clean a 518.

You need to stick to whatever mouse u've been using all the years. I used to use intelli 3 back in the day for years, then moved to logitech and i couldn't get used to the shape of it. Once that broke zzzz i got another intelli 3 again and its purely amazing. At around £25 you cant go wrong.

omfg - there is no "best" mouse

These threads just turn in to "this mouse rocks as I have one".
I have an MX518. Does it rock? Yes.
Have I tried any other gaming mice? No.

Therefore the MX518 is the best mouse in the world.

The reason I chose the MX518 was it cropped up in so many of these threads, and it is fairly large to cope with my sausage fingers.

I'm glad I got it, but couldn't comment on any other gaming mice as I've never used them. You pay your money, and take your chance.

^ agreed

so far i have used a diamondback - copperhead - intelli 1.1 - mx518 - v1.6pro solution - intelliexplorer 3 and the ie3 is what i have stuck with, my comments are that it was innitially difficult to get used to the mouse took me about 2days of solid cs1.6 matches but i'm now used to it and wouldn't change it for the world infact i have 2 of the older version and 1 of the new version (i use the new one all the time due to using a cloth pad and the old versions wouldn't glide aswell)
