France riots

Is everyone dumb around here?

Don't answer that.

France has always been a xenophobic nation, however the EU has made it take in far more immigrants than it desires, which caused the Paris Riots years ago. (usual reasons)

I can only imagine that this is an offshoot of that, it doesn't matter if a small thing apparently started it, that just confirms that its getting worse.

The police over there act like the police in America back in the days of segregation.

So respect them if you like, but France is going to end up dealing with a war at some point, if you would like that here, then just leave, social cohesion is bad as it is, it does not need warmongering dicks forcing the issue to explode.

I suppose a riot in France is simply a matter of who surrenders first, the rioters or the police. :p

I imagine it'll be like the olympic badminton game between china and south korea...

They both want to give up... but who has the determination to try and make the other side win so it doesn't look like they have given in ;)

I was about to LOL France. Then realised that I'm in London, and probably shouldn't throw stones in a house of glass.

You mean they shot a known drug dealer with gang links and he appears to have been carrying a gun. Then the black community (mostly) felt it necessary to burn down half of London because this criminal was shot and the White liberals say they were justified.

This.

To be honest, the French aren't a patch on our boys at rioting. Makes you proud...*sniff*

That just isn't true - the French are experts at rioting compared to what has happened over the last few decades in this country. A lot of it gets covered up by the French media too, it's become something of a tradition for gangs to go around setting fire to other people's cars on New Years Eve. As for the reasons why, stockhausen has the right of it in the first reply - inequality and social exclusion in the banlieus particularly amongst young men of arab descent.
