I haven't heard the noise (office PC with no sound), but i'm guessing that what you're hearing could be hydraulic pumps and actuators. I'll have a listen when I get home.

It is nothing like the sound of a hydraulic pump I have ever heard. It was a constant high pitched whine, like a RC plane engine.

I'd guess it was somthing to do with the gyro to keep it upright?

Yeah sounded like a small two stroke or something.

Also, it needs to be taller, have a gun turret, and has bigger feet, so I can recreate AT-AT battles from Star Wars

Oh great. I was just thinking that if the four legged jobber gets a bit fruity I could rely on my evolutionary roots and monkey up a tree. It seems the bots have that covered as well.
