FREE 8GB MEMORY UPGRADE CODE with the TITAN SPINOSAUR

RJ - So 22fps at 1280x1024 is acceptable is it in battlefield 2? What games did you try that ran quite well with that card? It also achieves a whopping 21fps in Dirt 2, the only ace up its sleeve is 40.1fps in COD:MW2 where its minimum is 35.

again, it is fine for light gaming use. there are other options. there is nothing misleading about my posts or the op. the system is designed to be versatile to meet end user needs. thats why we have options. i know your soul focus is proving that the 430 doesnt max out modern games at high res. but as i have said, it was tested on a 1400X900 19 inch basic monitor. like the monitor that someone buying a budget graphics card would possibly consider buying.

Nothing to base my opinion on? Don't make statements you can't prove dude

well do you have a spinosaur system?
or are you merely trawling google for statistics. playing a game on actual physical hardware as a little different to reading a few reviews.
the 430 is a budget graphics card that plays games well enough for what it is.
why are you carrying the torch on this one?
causing trouble for no reason on the news section really isnt getting you anywhere.

I know just how bad these cards are for anything other than modest old games. I've just put one in a htpc and tried a few games for a giggle. They are not very capable

Your line where you state "even with the 460/6850 cards" - the 460 is far more capable than the 430 is..... Returning 112fps average, 88 minimum compared to 40 average and 35 minimum of the 430. The gtx 460 is leagues ahead of the 430 and not a great deal more expensive.

Of course the system is going to be very capable with the cpu and memory, just IMO that graphics card is pap for such a decent setup, its like buying a golf and getting the 1.2 12v engine from a polo put into it.

The rest of the spec is awesome and its not a bad price, but the gpu is naff and you can't seriously tell me it performs well at 1280x1024 when all the review sites say its pap.

thanks for that insight. ill be sure to check out some reviews of the 460 and get a better understanding of its capabilities over other cards.

How hard would it be for a total beginner to get this thing up and running? I heard I would have to install a graphics card. Is this difficult?

Its pre-built so all you have to do is switch on and enjoy!

You can chose a GPU from the options, it will be installed for you.

Hi there,

The only GFX cards that you will have to install yoursewlf are anything GTX 460 size or above.

All systems come with comprehensive instructions to assist you on how to install.

All systems are tested with the included GFX card prior to being shipped out to ensure maximum compatibility and stability.

Literally plug and play :)

the graphics card comes with a full installation manual which is very comprehensive.
even a total novice can do it

the reason we remove graphics cards prior to shipping is so that you as the customer get the system in outstanding condition and dont risk any bumps or knocks in transit.
graphics cards can go wrong if they are not properly handled and shipping the card seperately is the only way we can ensure that it arrives in mint condition to the customer.

dont forget we have numerous system support channels that you can ask queries regarding your new system on. all of our staff are experts at what they do and any issues you encounter with installation can be quickly resolved :)

What games did you test? And what fps did you achieve?

No I don't have a 'spinosaur' system. I have one I built myself with the same cpu, more memory and two 5850's in crossfire. Having worked for people in the trade for some years now I have some idea believe it or not of hardware. I'm not carrying a torch, I want you to prove your claims that its good at gaming with that gpu.

No ones causing trouble, I'm asking you to prove your claims.

I have a 24" dell monitor that i use at 1920x1080, what type of graphics card would you suggest for gaming at this resolution in the above system? I was thinking of building a system again but with something like this i might as well just buy one pre built! :)

Hey mate,

How much extra did you want to spend on the graphics card upgrade? Depends what your budget is really! If you can stretch to a 6950, ring them and ask them to build you one with a 6950 thats flashable to a 6970 and you'd be onto a definate winner!

The GTX 460 won't give impressive fps at that resolution though according to reviews it'll be playable. What you could, however do is ask them to fit a second 460 and sli them for you - 460's in sli provide brilliant value for money and according to a few review sites should see you an average of 76fps and min of 52 in bf:bc2 at 1920x1080 with 4xAA and 16x AF.

Personally for simplicity I'd go with a 6950 and flash it, but you'd have to ask ocuk to spec you the system with one thats revision 1.

Edit : Looking at the price differences, an additional £20 on top of the XFX 6950 upgrade price will get you one that is flashable.

Hope this helps.
