Dungeon runners is pretty terrible after a few hours. Its extremely easy and gets dull very quickly.

Could say that about 90% of MMORPGs out there

Seriously, the free MMO's are free for a reason, plus, the fact that it is free draws in all the annoying little kids, i would gladly pay £8 a month to play a "real" MMO and filter out all* the idiots

Have to agree with this - Free MMO generally means playground community. Most free mmo's also have item shops, where you can spend real money to buy ingame items. In a lot of them though, you really have to buy stuff to get anywhere in the game.

Try out Lord of the Rings Online, it's dirt cheap if you go three months at a time, and has a really decent community.

I know its not totally free, but, Guild Wars.

Costs like £9.99 now and thats it never have to pay again.

Firstly, no it isn't. Monthly fee.
Secondly, its an MMOFPS, not an RPG
Thirdly, it is still awsome.

ive only done the tutorial on RF at the minute, im not sure if i like it, ill give it another hour or so though dont want to just dismiss it that quickly

I liked RF Online been playing it on and off since it was released a couple of years ago

I play a game called Cabal Online. It has quite a big playerbase too and is free to download and play.

I must have tried atleast 20 free MMO's in the past few years, and I've come to the comclusion that those two words should never mix, it's like posting a thread without pictures in 'Life'.

Every single one has been an awful experience of awful graphics, awful gameplay awful playerbase (the word 'free' is a lightbulb to idiots..the idiots being moths.) I can't honestly recommend anything free to anyone, so stop being women and pay the few pence it cost to play a reall MMO, they're definately worth it.

You could always try Guild Wars, not an MMO but hey, it's free subscription.

I wouldnt bother with RF Online

been there down that road, didnt end well.
as for codemasters... never touch another game they produce because of it.

Fair enough-Im downloading Anarchy Online-played for a little last year but gave up because the computer I was using couldnt handle it (my proper computer had gone down and I was using a PII Dell!) I will give it another go now that I can cope with it.
