Ordered on Thursday morning and it's not coming until Tuesday...

Turned down overtime today to make sure I'm at home and can build it. What an utter waste of time and money...

damn, i'll be at work on tues so no one here to take delivery...
 
I too had the same problem. I ordered the final components I need on a >£100 order, expecting to be able to rebuild my PC/watercooling as something fun to do over the easter weekend.

As I'm back at work on Tuesday and no-one will be available to accept the parcel they've upgraded me to pre-10am delivery at no cost (they refunded my delivery charge) but that means I won't get it until Wednesday!

I must say, I'm very disappointed in OcUK for this - they should have checked with DPD before running the special offer and I'm now out of something to do over the weekend.

Edit: Spoke to them again and going to go and pick up the items from their shop as they still had everything in stock - I didn't realise they were in Stoke (Newcastle-under-Lyme rather than in-the-distant-north-Newcastle)! I'm now a lot happier as I can continue my build over the weekend.

I think I may go and drown my sorrows in the pub. I've been saving for this build for ages now and was like a kid at Christmas up until this morning when I checked the DPD site :(

To be fair to OCUK they are being honest and are at least trying to help so I can't stay mad for too long..........maybe a little longer though.
 
Ouch, looks like I've been scuppered by this too!

Looks like I've now gotta wait until Tuesday to get my delivery, meaning I'll have to wait until the Tuesday after to even start building (due to work).

BAD TIMES INDEED!

Damn! Sorry mate. I would have to think about ordering from here again after that mess up. A friend of mine said he wont order from OCUK again. They've screwed him over too many times.
 
Seeing as I ordered on Thursday, and had an email at 09:03 yesterday morning to say my order has shipped - I'm a little more than just "annoyed" at the moment.

Been pretty excited about having a new Graphics card to play with over the long weekend, not impressed given this was marketed as a super special promotion either...

I've allways found OCUK very helpfull in the past and to be fair this was just a mix up with DPD and after a quick call i have had the postage refunded.

It would have been better though if some one from OCUK had posted in this thread or a new one about the mix up rather than letting people find out as and when.
 
I've just posted in the customer services part, I'm more than unhappy tbh...

Paid for next day delivery so it would get to me Thursday, something was out of stock, which meant I couldn't get it till Saturday, fine....

... Still not got it, I had the missus book a day off work so she could stay at home and receive the parcel as work wouldn't let me. Now she's not happy with me, she's lost a days wage and has been sat at home all day waiting for a parcel that hasn't arrived.
 
New motherboard was supposed to be coming today after placing the order thursday evening. Can't complain too much as other components bought elsewhere were going to arrive later anyway and it's not like I paid any extra for the delivery but still was hoping to get overclockers order on saturday so I could do a little prep work on my new build.

Can't pretend I'm not a little disappointed. :(
 
Loads of moaners in here, lost a days wage despite assumingly booking a holiday off which would be paid for...? And if not, if the wage was important you'd be at work anyway instead of losing money to wait for a non-essential box of tricks?

End of the day if you want something NOW, go to the shop to get it, otherwise soak it up and move on, you're all gonna get your stuff on Tuesday. Step outside and enjoy the world! Moaning after the event won't get you anywhere.
