I am very sorry if this is the wrong place to ask this question
but I have a TV in my bedroom with a little digital aerial and I have no
problems watching Freeview and normal TV
but the TV as Freesat built-in so please can you tell me if I can get Freesat
if I get a small f connect to screw in the back of the TV thank you
 
I did this last year. My TV aerial blew down so I bought a new telly and used my old sky dish, but you must have the right LNB (thats the thing at the end of said dish) fitted. It won't work with the sky one. an installer fitted the right LNB for about £70.

You need a satellite feed an ordinary sky dish will do and yes its superior to freeview
 
I moved into my house in 2006 and never had a TV then finally got one last year. I had a TV technician around to discuss my options with my set-up being pre-digital. We went down the satellite route, installed a dish on the side of my house. He did some alignment (you could hear the beeps), drilled a hole for a cable to come into my lounge and plugged it into my TV. I'm not sure what LNB is, but I was up and running. The TV had Freesat built into it and you just press the Freesat button on your remote to activate it, then the home button takes you back to Android where you can use internet app such as Disney+, YouTube etc. He charged £210 all-in so probably not the cheapest option, but it's all good if you don't know what you're doing.

Thanks yes I think I will use a TV technician there is a communal satellite dish I know some of the neighbours are coupled up to it

I had it done at my mum's place mini dish fitted below the eaves on the house cabled up etc £150 all in that was a few years ago though
 
I got an LNB for £15 from screwfix, fitted it myself.

Whether you need one or not depends on how old your sky dish is. Older dishes/LNBs will work with freesat. Newer ones wont.

It depends which Sky LNB you have.
The one supplied for Q should work, and give you the full 4 channels at one on a FreeSat box.
