There is some misunderstanding. I didn't say Baku was uninteresting - I said that cars denied finish is uninteresting.
Dramatic races with many DNFs are uninteresting. If my drivers aren't there, there is no reason for me to watch, at all.

Interesting. I'm more a fan of the actual racing than drivers. I'd rather see a good race where the drivers I support are out than watch the driver I support just drive around at the front with absolutely nothing happening in the race. There's no point watching it for the latter, you may as well just look up the results after the race than waste 90mins of your life watching nothing.

its the only thing that really ever makes the boring races interesting

I think I'd rather watch a genuine race with an uncertain outcome than only being able to get off on my chosen driver being certain of victory. May as well just buy a fanboy magazine and watch that instead, or watch YouTube clips of past glories.

Doesn't surprise me. IIRC when I was there years ago it's in the butthole of nowhere with only single lane A/B roads to get in and out.
