I just watched the highlights of the French race. When Vettel pitted for his 5 second penalty and tyre change, the total pit time was just over 9 seconds, about 9.1 or 9.2.
Very odd isn't it? Given that a normal pitstop for tyres is 2.4, you'd think the total time should be about 7.4 seconds. It's like Ferrari penalised themselves more than they needed to.

They usually stay in for a bit longer to be on the safe side.
