imgur does drag and drop hosting, tinypic now requires you to watch a 30 second advert when hosting pictures. Your browser isnt displaying the flash movie or whatever it is therefore you cant enter the word test shown afterwards

I know about imgur, but it doesn't allow files > 2MB. Guess I'd better reinstall Flash then, thanks.

You're still paying for the author's time and skill. Or are you arguing that they should be free? After all, the marginal distribution cost is next to zero!

For any decent run size the price of the book is pennies - nothing compared to having to pay 20% VAT on ebooks.

Even small runs are quite competitive compared to VAT. The idea that an ebook should cost pennies is ridiculous, the money has always been in research, writing and marketing costs.

Why should an ebook cost nearly £19 when the paperback printed copy is available to £3-4 as new.

I never said they should be free and the author died in 1960 ..

Companies often sell off old stock cheap, it costs them money to have it sat there. The ebook is clearly publishers RRP and has no promotional activity behind it.

I could pull out a dozen examples of kindle books that are half the price or less of print copies but I really don't see the point. If you want an ebook buy that, if you want paper buy that, if you want the cheapest book buy whichever is cheapest!
