What was the car on Top Gear a while back that they had a go at for having leaf springs? I think it was made by an 'independant' small British company (so... two guys in a garage) in somewhere like Manchester. It was a sort of duck egg blue
I actually quite like the idea of leaf springs. Keep is simple, stupid - i mean they work, and you can see how they work. If push came to shove you could probably understand enough about them to make them.
