You can certainly do amazing things with it!

How do you do it...does it just light? I get the rope and lighter but I'm stumped on the whisk...do you bind it round the whisk?

Basically you break the wire wool sausage (heh) so it's more fluffy then stuff it inside the whisk and attach the rope to the whisk. Light a bit of the wool inside the whisk and once it starts to ember you begin spinning it and for 30 seconds just pretend you're some kind of mythological wizard with the powers of Volcanos or something

It will only last about 30 seconds so a 30second exposure is enough at around 250ISO (f8~) to get a good balance of trails and surrounding area.
