This is probably a stupid question but:
What does all that extra bandwidth actually allow you to do? My wifi connection maxes out at about 10mb/s d/l and 0.20mb/s u/l. The upload speed is terrible but the download speed is more than enough to play games and stream videos. Steam seems to be the only site/program that allows me to download anything at more than 1mb/s anyway.
Does it really pay to have such high d/l speeds? Surely a high d/l speed at your end is irrelevant if the servers you're connecting too can't match it.
