That Iranian Shahab-3 map is utter rubbish! There's sooooo many places where the Red range is below 930 miles (see map below - yellow lines are way below 930miles). if it was drawn correctly it'd be a hell of a lot bigger!

They've made the lines roughly the shape of Iran, so that if a missile was fired from the dead centre of Iran it would show the correct range.

I think it's taking into account where they can actually launch from, south west iran is mountainous so they wouldn't be able to launch there which is why it's not a consistent distance.
