But both the plane and the shadow are pretty much exactly the same size as those of the others? What jumps out to me is that there seems to be no detail at all in that shadow, and some in the others.

I doubt that- the shadows are all off. If thats the case then it's been edited. The scale also would be different

I thought I'd make my random image posts a bit more interesting and have a play about in Photoshop before posting...no-one noticed anything with my street scene...think it was a bit subtle.
