You're showing your (lack of) age...

It was originally a puppet-type thing, but in the 90's the japanese bought the license for it and turned it into a cartoon, which was dubbed into english and aired in the UK in the early 2000's.

It was aired pre '00, I remember watching it as a young kid, which would have been mid 90's

Eh? No, it wasn't. The Moomins is one of Finland's bigger exports, after mobile phones. They started out as books by Tove Jannson, then became a Finnish cartoon which was dubbed and exported.

Ooh, wikimapedia notes a puppet series which I was unaware of, and the fact that the TV series was a Finnish-Japanese collaboration.

So we are both right and knowledgeable in the field of niche kids TV/books.

What part of my statement are you 'no-ing' at?

Yes it was originally Finnish, but it was made into a Japanese cartoon later, as I stated. The earlier Finnish version wasn't a cartoon, it was claymation (or whatever it's called).

You do realise that it's only the Catholic church with a sex offender problem, and also that no real church requires any member of the congregation to abstain from sex for any reason, right?
You seriously think it's only the Catholic church that has a problem?

...plus...come on. That was blatantly sarcasm.

It sounded like you were suggesting the whole thing was originally Japanese.

Anyway, looking at Wikipedia, it seems we are both right.
