Friend given up job to play WoW

a lot of the people that play the game probably only leave their house to cash their giro every 2 weeks so saying social side is quite funny.

.. and if they were not playing wow, it would only be something else.

We kinda get the idea you don't like wow and have your own views on the people that play it

I would play WoW if the graphics were upgraded.

When I played WoW I always quite liked the graphics. Not technically stunning but I found them artistically brilliant so that made up for it.

I would happily play WoW with the graphics as they are...no...for me the sentence would be...

I would play WoW if the people playing it were upgraded to something above neanderthal. (although I quite enjoyed WoW, even if it is a very pale shadow of an MMO compared to UO in its prime, it was the community in WoW which nailed the coffin for me in the game)

Lol at the comment rage on that video, this game seriously messes people up, luckily for me, i get bored of games after a few months, i have to have breaks regularly.

I'm currently looking into doing this my self as my boss keeps moaning at me for playing at work and it's starting to affect my daily raids.

MW

if it hasnt been stated already, get him hooked on drugs. Drugs cost money, therefore he will need to go to work to pay for the drug habbit (yes i know WoW already costs), so start him on something costly. You're welcome in advance

I think I pretty much didn't go into college a lot because of WoW, kinda messed that one up :(

But I work full time and have done for some years now and wouldn't quit my job to play computer games. I do that enough outside of work, no point clocking in more hours :P

Also kicked the WoW habbit over a year ago now!

When he gets burned out from playing the game hardcore for a month or two he'll realise it was the dumbest thing hes ever done in his life.

A bit lazy and I did not read this entire thread.

However if the guy is genuinely your friend then he needs help, he sounds properly addicted and this sort of thing can seriously ruin your life. I would speak to him and tell him you have real concerns and I would even consider actually telling his parents you think he is addicted.

Easy to consider this a joke but if he gave up work to gamble or drink people would immediately worry but playing an MMO to the exclusion of everything else is very similar.

This is why I never have touched WoW not even the free trial. Just seems so stupid

And talking of your friend. Go round there and slap him and throw a bucket of iced water over his head tell him to wake up from his fantasy world and get into the real world. Saddo.
