Friends Tyres

They will be completely ****, if he can't tell this then he should just get rid of the hot hatch as clearly he doesn't need it.

It's surprising what carp people will put up with and say are good... Someone runs ZE912 falkens on the FocusSTOC and says they're the dogs. They won't accept that tyres are cheap for a reason and anybody who buys something decent is a brand snob...

The ideal tyre for people buying cars they can't really afford.

Amazing how many of them you see on things like E46 M3's these days :(

5 years ago I would have said it was amazing; these days I find it quite typical of the average E46 M3 owner.

nothing wrong with budget tyres, if they were seriously dangerous they would be illegal under the eu.

Sure his car will suffer around the corners but who cares, your not driving it.

Want to point me to an EU rule/guideline/directive that specifies a minimum level of wet and dry grip?

Yes they aren't made out of potato and won't spontaneously combust but that's about it really. No redeeming features other than the price, but if you really wanted to kill yourself I'm sure there's even cheaper ways of doing that.

I will never understand the logic of buying a hot hatch, or any other performance car for that matter (there's an S2000 that parks in my local Asda with Triangle tyres!), and then ruining them with cheap rubber.
