A mate of mine has a hot hatch with these tyres.

They will be completely ****, if he can't tell this then he should just get rid of the hot hatch as clearly he doesn't need it.

It's surprising what carp people will put up with and say are good... Someone runs ZE912 falkens on the FocusSTOC and says they're the dogs. They won't accept that tyres are cheap for a reason and anybody who buys something decent is a brand snob...

Same tread pattern as contisport 3s, tyre fitter told me they were made by the same company, bound to be epic in the wet.

Want to point me to an EU rule/guideline/directive that specifies a minimum level of wet and dry grip?

Yes they aren't made out of potato and won't spontaneously combust but that's about it really. No redeeming features other than the price, but if you really wanted to kill yourself I'm sure there's even cheaper ways of doing that.

I will never understand the logic of buying a hot hatch, or any other performance car for that matter (there's an S2000 that parks in my local Asda with Triangle tyres!), and then ruining them with cheap rubber.
