Fritz!Box 7490 on FTTC/VDSL2

There's no export facility only import that I can see.

Just as an example, I switch on the VPN on the Asus and it allows me to modify a few settings. Once I'm done it exports this to a client.ovpn file which I can then import to a 3rd party VPN software. Even if it gave you the settings manually then that would be good.
The netgear doesn't support VPN for iOS or android but it is possible if you download and pay for an app.

Like I said there's no export facility. Maybe there's some thing online that when fed the required info will generate this file for you to keep.

When you create a new VPN user account on the FB at the end you can view the manual settings required for IOS and Android which was the image I previously posted.

Just a heads up to anyone else interested in the VPN portion, The Fritzboxes do indeed support Android devices with ease it seems. No mention of iOS though.

Looks like the 7490 has either crashed or had a intermittent power failure. Mine has just started doing what it did before

My finger keeps hovering over the 'buy me' button, however I can't help thinking should I really. my two box solution , the Asus and the Open Reach modem, appears to be working ok. If I were to buy the Fritz!Box could I sell on my Asus and for how much?

I've been watching second hand sales of the Asus, They seem to be selling for around £125-£135. Where would you buy the Fritzbox from? I was looking for the 3490 but the rainforst place has reviews saying it is a German unit unfit for UK.

It's basically the stripped down version of the 7490. I have no use for the dect feature either so that's why I would have opted for that. I wonder why it's discontinued. It's only been out a few months.

Lol that's the second time this has happened this week with me hoping for a device to appear and a few days later it does.
Thanks for the link, think I'll be opting for the new Netgear D7000 now though.
