From chunk to hunk in 7 months

As someone who has lifted consistently for over 7 years, there are only two explanations for this.

1. He has worked out for a long time, and just put on a bunch of weight and watered up for the before picture. He then spent 7 months cutting to get there.

2. He has REALLY good genetics, his diet was 100% on point, AND he was on gear. Even the greatest bodybuilders of our time with the best genetics would struggle to get that look in less than 1-1.5 years. In 7 months? He would have to be one of those guys and have ridden a bike.

+1 I don't believe the photos but I believe this!!!

Good to hear.

I've been "working out" at home - resistance stuff only - for about two months. I've seen practically no change in my physique at all.

Now the other day I was talking to my nephew and his friend, who are both gym hounds. They said "anyone can get ripped in three months". I found that hard to believe, but couldn't disprove it.

So after two months I was wondering if I was just the type of person who will not be able to put on muscle (since the change in two months is almost nil).

Nevertheless, I had resolved to keep going and just progress at my own rate, whatever that was. But you do hear these claims that "three months" is enough for anybody to get in shape.

Absolutely no changes in 2 months?

If you're new to training then unfortunately either your diet is crap, your routine is crap or both are crap.

If you're not doing the right exercises / eating the right food then you probably aren't going to see great gains.

^If you did that properly and ate well, you would almost certainly see results. But reward doesn't come without great effort... sadly!

I'm currently doing a 'plan' by the trendy celeb guy who calls himself 'the bodycoach'. See here and see pics: https://www.thebodycoach.co.uk/90daysss.asp

Being a week in, I'm pretty convinced that massive fat loss is very likely because you all you are doing is eating modest calories which are very high fats / protein, carbs only after workouts, and spanking high intensity interval training five times a week... which is total death :p

I was nearly sick after doing this one for this first time... but I have become a relative heffer!

****ing burpees... seriously.

Well I'm not going for speed anyhow.

My nephew and his friend have replaced some of their meals with protein shakes, and I'm absolutely not prepared to do this kind of thing. I'd rather eat normal meals. I've 100% cut out snacks, and eat healthily, but I'm not min/maxing my diet.

As for my "routine", it's just whatever resistance exercises I've stumbled upon from Google :p So doubtless it's not the most effective.

But even just doing push-ups for two months you'd expect to see some difference, right? From someone who'd done nothing for years and was/is pretty weedy.

But there you have it. I've not seen any difference apart from loss of weight. I guess you really have to take professional advice and do things properly if you want to see gains.

The one thing I'm absolutely not doing is going to the gym :p Sod that for a laugh :p
