According to the Daily Express, Heinz is launching a frozen 'beans on toast' sandwich.

The Heinz toastie works in a similar way to pop tarts - made from two slices of bread with the beans sealed inside, it is ready to eat after one minute in the toaster.

Bill Johnson, chief executive of Heinz said 'If people take the time to cook beans and put them on toast, why shouldn't we cut the process for them and give them beans on toast?'

The product will go on sale in New Zealand next year and if successful, will be launched in the UK.

How many of the OCUK community will be rushing out to buy them?

Why do I have a feeling they're going to be like Chicago Town pizzas where you take a bite, and the insides of your mouth is burnt to a crisp? :p

if you weren't such an eager beaver-monkee and let them cool a bit, you wouldn't have these problems.

though i'm the first to admit, straight out of the oven, the cheese on those Chicago Pizzas is hotter than molten lava. FACT.

surely no one is so lazy they cant be bothered to put their own brown sauce on?

... maybe they could include a sachet? :p

just think, if you've microwaved the cheese in there, you'll break all the bread up just to put brown sauce on. if there's brown sauce, you won't wreck the presentation. think outside the box ;)

*taps nose*

It took me a while, but I have spotted the flaw.

For this to work properly, it cant be much thicker than something like a pasty.

Where am I going with this? Well.... for beans on toast to work, the bread needs to be UBER thick - if it isnt, its just the ultimate in lose. I think these will have thin bread, hence they will suck :(
