FTTP Broadband

OP, currently the phone lines and FTTP lines are different systems.

Though eventually the old phone line system will be shut off completely and phone calls will be done via the router.
Not everywhere, no phone lines round here for at least a year maybe two. VOIP only if you have FTTP.

No you said eventually the old system will be shut off, mine was shut off years ago with no option but to have HD Voice as they call it. Phone plugs into the router.
When they fitted FTTP they completely removed the copper lines and you can't have them back round here.

Yes. But I also said they were two different systems.

When I said the old phone system would be shut off I was speaking nationally. Different parts of the country are at different stages.
