Fuel Protests.. bring it on!

every one down here seems to think there's already a petrol shortages as the petrol stations round here have been jam packed and several stations ran out

Sainsbury's was mad on Saturday, I went and got my shopping first, came out and there were only a handful of cars... and no unleaded. Still had super though :p

Haven't noticed it in too many other garages yet though. Shell round here seems to be the only place bellow £1 a litre.

V-Power at our local shell is 105.9 and that was a week ago, no doubt more now, need some tonight since i have nooooooo fuel left, least super will be the last to sell out!

Not surprised, paid 115.9ppl for super a few weeks back ... it's likely well over that now.

Re: the lorry blockade

Isn't it illegal to drive knowlingly that you're going to run out of fuel? And don't diesels require priming if they run completely dry?

Over a hundred pounds a litre? That's... pricey! ;)

I saw BP Ultimate for 124.9p/l at a motorway services the other day though.

Old mechanical ones did. Modern common rail diesels use electric pumps so if you keep priming/cranking the system it will come back through.

It's just not all that long ago on Top Gear when Jeremy drove from lands end to john o'groats in a Jaguar he said if he runs out of fuel, he couldn't simply just fill it up...

It was a while ago, my memory is fuzzy :(

I hope it happens too.. we really shouldn'y be paying such a rediculas ammount for petrol.

Unfortuneatly this dictatorship, opps sorry I mean Government have made most types of fuel protests illegal. Any action that may cause the disruption of fuel supplying is now a criminal offence.

So, if 10,000 people were blockading, they would arrest all of them??

Better fill up tonight, still under £1/L here, or at least it was on the way to work this morning

the PM has increased tax recently by 2p ish on fuel, obviously to compensate for smokers quitting since the ban. So now I am paying smoker tax and I dont even smoke:(

Oh FFS, with one hand you were voting for a smoking ban, and with the other you were putting wafting away smoke and putting two fingers up to my human rights... to smoke in the same place I drink a beer.

Now you complain you have to pay a little extra tax from all the people who have quit smoking!

There's no pleasing some people!

:p ;)
