Fuel & VAT increase

With a general election this year i really cannot see 5ppl increases in duty proposed unless the relevant ministers really have taken leave of their senses.

It's all about the lesser of two evils. I expect whatever taxes to rise and spending to cut to maintain our AAA rating. If we lose that we're toast.

All the local filling stations have put the fuel up early to catch all the mugs going out for a full tank "before the tax goes up".

Just this second driven back past 3 of the local filling stations - inc the one in the centre of town - and not a single one has changed price since I last went past them 3 days ago.

No no.

Like the Euro, we'll just get it forced down our throat that massive fuel tax increases are "good for us" and "necessary" for "repeated economic growth".

Utter ********, basically.

Outland road is at 107.9, Segrave Road is at 107.9, St Budeux Jet 108.9, St Budeux Texaco 111.9, Budshead Road 111.9 and Devonport is at 106.9 (but they've run out)

Wife just got home, Budshead is now 114.9 for diesel!

Think we'll be giving that place a miss!

So what's your local price gone up to, Ive not checked yet.

At the moment prices are the same although I wouldnt be supprised if they went up with the next fuel delivery. Local Tesco was staffless after 7pm last night so nobody there to change the prices.
