Pretty impressive if you ask me.

Asked around a few shops in HK, none had the Fuji in stock, and even if they did, it's over $10,000 which is around £900...not worth it.

Even my 35L is $13,000 which is over £1,000 ! Exchange rate has killed buying it from HK and bring it back.

Are you going by list price or actually haggling it down to those prices? Majority of retailers in HK has list price aimed at tourist and fully expects the local to haggle prices down.

List price, but even at 10% lower its still minute difference. If i get caught by customs then that will guarantee to take it over.

I was surprised when I got the call yesterday that there was an X100 waiting to fulfill my pre-order, I was expecting a couple of months more wait given the rumours

Anyway it arrived today and I'm liking it so far, it's a shame the user interface is typical Fuji (i.e. rubbish) but the OVF/EVF is definitely something we're going to see a lot of in the coming years.

Didn't have much time to use it in anger before it got dark, but here is a classic sample shot containing a duck :)

I thought very hard about making spie an offer for his when he was selling it but I had to come down against in the end. I would be interested in hearing if you do decide it's surplus to your needs (particularly if you have a 35mm summilux too) but I would warn that I'll probably have to pass as I should be buying a D3s (or D4) for work purposes really.

You have trust mail, decided to put it up on MM
