Hi Can anyone recommend any PSU's other than the Corsair AX Proffessional Series that are fully modular? Would make life a lot easier building my mini itx system cleanly

Perhaps you should give a bit more information on the wattage of PSU required and your budget.

I doubt you want a 1000W PSU for a mini ITX system.

Yeah sorry should have stated that :) it would be to power my sig system. I just spotted the OCZ ZT Series and I think I might be able to get away with the 550w version

Any reason for avoiding the ax series. They do a 650w for a pretty good price, fully modular, and I believe it's backed up by a 7 year warranty.

But that's my two cents.

Nothing other than the price tbh, even the 650 is £110+?

I'm not sure how much you are willing to spend, so apologies. But I've learnt in the past 24 hours not to skimp on a good PSU, if you look at my other thread you will see that I have a fairly expensive PC lying next to me that *potentially* has some big damage caused by the PSU frying.

EDIT: I'm not advocating corsair, but just named brands in general. Stick with them regardless of the cost, never go for a shady make or price.

How about these two, they from reliable companies even if they aren't the best. They are likely not fully modular in the sense that the mobo power cables will be fixed to the unit most likely and possibly a PCI-E cable but that really isn't the end of the world.

The first psu I ever bought was a £130 seasonic 650w. That killed two gpu's slowly before I discovered it was the cause. In my experience, buying top quality PSU's just kill your parts like a ninja instead of going out with a bang :P.

That being said, only a fool skimps on their PSU.

Well said :)

I've heard good things about the be quiet range. Hope that helps.

Cheers Guys, ive already got a BeQuiet Modular 680W PSU but I really want a fully modular psu, as the PSU is the last thing that goes into my case it makes it hard to neatly manage the 12V and 24pin wires. I think ill probably go with the OCZ 650 ZT as it seems to get good reviews and will be more than ample for my needs

This one? Looks fully modular to me. Could be you were looking at a core edition rather than the XXX.

It's a Seasonic, so yes it'll be better than the ocz, to me anyway Seasonic's are by far and away the best make of PSU available, I currently have the XFX platinum 1000w jobby but only went for it because I couldn't get a Seasonic direct from OCuK, and it's a rebranded Seasonic PSU anyway. The PSU I had before was a 750w Seasonic and its still going strong 5 years and 3-4 builds later.

Mine is XXX edition and not fully modular. Bought it here from OCUK, I might hae been sold a different version then.

Different Manufacturers Code: P1-650X-NLG9 (OCuK) to P1-650X-CAH9 - on XFX site (which is pants). Might be worth checking in the customer service section, im sure Ace modder or 5UB will confirm.
