I honestly have no idea how I can be so unlucky with this machine, it's like solve one problem and another pops up in a few days. Everything was running good for nearly a week, I even managed to beat Bioshock in that time. However last night I set the machine on standby and was about to go to sleep when I woke it by accident, except nothing would display on the screen. So I reset the machine and turned it back on, and this time there was this weird Green screen when booting, instead of black, and it froze on the Boot screen.
So I reset the CMOS and basically got it running again today, using the other DVI connection on the GPU eventually got things going and was able to run games fine. Checked 3D Mark score and it was the exact same as when I ran it a week ago. So I went to watch TV, and set it to standby again, and it's done the exact same thing again.
When I plug the DVI connection into the machine, sometimes it's a green screen with white writing, and now it's a black screen with purple writing and has hung on Verifying DMI Pool data.
Anyone got any ideas what is causing this problem? I've put it into standby at least ten times during the week and didn't have a single problem.
Specs are http://ikuu.net/images/currentlist.jpg with the OCZ RAM that is on sale just now.
Edit: Reseting CMOS, removing a stick of RAM and I can get into BIOS with the DVI in the second connection and set them to Load Optimized, the machine then restarts and nothing appears on the screen again.
Also sometimes when I power the machine off and on, the red light on the mobo to indicate power doesn't come on, is this some feature of the PSU maybe to protect the board? Or could a faulty PSU be causing some issues.
Reset the CMOS again, both sticks of RAM in, using the second DVI connection and this time it's frozen on the 'Abit' screen.
Woah, just turned the machine off and when I was moving the DVI connection I got a few shocks, and noticed there was some 'charged' between the cable and the port. Switched the machine off now, really got no idea about this one. Prob just gonna turn it into some repair shop, again =(
