tbh i sort of worried about that - to some i guess they are more pleasing, perhaps i should forget about the controllers idea afterall?
 
Well you could always have a fan controller behind the door.

It makes the case have cleaner lines, and in the sort of area of cases your looking at, the door gets you a much better case for your money.
 
tbh the idea of the fan controller was for looks not for the function, so to be behind the door would be pointless lol

If you want for looks, get something like a matrix orbital or a Lian Li TR3 like I did.

Reaosnably useless just providing stats but it looks gorgeous :)

Or you could fit a screen in the free drive bays behind the door at a later date.

There are lots of more WOW factor things you can do than a fan controller, as these are used by almost everyone for function not fashion.

OcUK under the Vantec fan controllers have a programable LCD for example. That would be much more impressive than a fan controller :)

(Buy it at a later date of course!)

EDIT: And to reply to your edit on the Thermaltake; any Thermaltake case will be ok :)

Do not think you can, but would be easy to make your own window for it :)

Sheet of acrylic and some rubber edging, add to that a dremel and for about £15 you can have whatever shape you want.
