...for example, sending a birthday card a month before its the person's birthday

Look like a right plonker now, I could have sworn it was October

What silly social things have you done? :)

I thought Lee had a distinctly below average game today*. Oh hello Lee mate how's it going?

*words to that effect.

ever done something like imagining the worst thing you could possibly say and thinking "wow that would be really really bad if I said it"

and then accidentally blurting it out  :(

Is it just me who does that all the time? :( :o

I always have to be very careful not to do it! (but don't believe I have done it) I guess its like a suppressed version of torrets syndrome?

I have let it out on many occasions its not nice, the worst bit is the "OMG I didnt mean to say that" part that never quite works :(

I made a social gaff by putting the knives and forks around the wrong way at my partners dinner party

no you did it the correct way!

I'm right handed so want the fork in my right hand damn it!

I sent a really good friend (who one would expect I'd know their birthday! :o ) a cigar I had brough back from Cuba a good month early! Oops... ah well at least he enjoyed it :D

I was a major "Doh!" moment.

Was a nice thing to do though :)

Aye same here, but it is logical to do it the wrong way. I mean if you were eating something that required a Spoon you would use it in your right hand, what about just a fork? probably your right hand also. A fork is very much a like a spoon so why bloody swap them round when you use both?

Calling one of my colleagues at work a doyle, then realising 0.01 of a second after I'd said it that her surname is Doyle :o

I'm a rightie and use my right hand to operate a fork. I'm worried my left hand lacks the motor skills and would remove my eyes.
