Works out to being about half the price of a normal SSD and you can swap out failed cf cards... the four cf card version with four 8GB Sandisk Extreme IV work out to cost about £150 and a 32GB SSD on OCUK is £260

I wouldn't do this unless I used a proper wear-levelling filesystem like JFFS2.

Agree - this is possibly the most important point so far.

SSDs have wear levelling built in. I'm not sure this is the same with flash cards.
