I'm sure you made the right choice will probably overclock to 2.6GHz some go even further :D

Then when all the new bits come out designed for X2 you'll be truly amazed :D

Do you find it much smoother and the like round normal apps? I can't measure it but I have 2 PC's one running @ 2.7GHz single core and a Opteron dual core running @2.8GHz and the Opteron feels miles quicker and smoother.

Real glad your happy anyway :D

Its up to you the 170 is £60 dearer but will most likely cloch higher and has more cache. The x2 4200 has a better multi (11). Like I said earlier I would go for the opty if you can afford it.

I heard the recent 170's are clocking worse than the recent 4400's
